2023 Jeonnam Science Festival Held at Naro Space Center
4 Areas Including Creative Convergence Science and Space Experience, 120 Programs
A large-scale science experience event that will realize the scientific curiosity and passion of Jeonnam students will be held in Goheung.
The Jeonnam Office of Education announced on the 14th that the '2023 Jeonnam Science Festival' will be held from the 22nd to the 23rd of next month around the Naro Space Center in Goheung.
Marking its 25th year this year, the Jeonnam Science Festival is jointly hosted by the Jeonnam Office of Education and Jeonnam Province, organized by the group of elementary science teachers in Jeonnam called People Who Love Science, and supported by Goheung County and Jeonnam Technopark.

View original imageThis science festival, enjoyed by youth, parents, teachers, and all residents of the province, is composed of over 120 detailed programs in four areas: ▲Creative Convergence Science Experience ▲Space and Celestial Experience ▲Metaverse Convergence Experience ▲Creative Convergence Expression Activities.
In particular, aerospace-related programs will be intensively held to pray for the success of the third Nuri rocket launch and to raise interest in space exploration.
The Creative Convergence Science Experience offers participants hands-on activities and programs including 'Science Experience Booths,' science videos and celestial observation, and the 'Mobile Science Vehicle' that provides virtual space experiences, preparing about 100 different experience activities.
The Space and Celestial Experience is a program that explores aerospace science, providing about 20 programs such as the 'Rocket Launch Site Tour' at the Naro Space Center where the Naro rocket was launched, the 'Space Science Museum Tour' that records Korea's space pioneering history, and 'Space Exploration Experience Activities' related to rockets and space exploration.

Superintendent Kim Dae-jung said, "The Jeonnam Science Festival, which started in 1999, is held annually focusing on major areas of Jeonnam," and added, "It will be a festival that awakens students' interest and curiosity in science and promotes science not only in classrooms and laboratories but also science in daily life and through hands-on experiences."
