Gyeonggi Province has selected Urban Bricks in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong City, as the candidate for the nation's first "Exemplary Area for Restaurant Hygiene Rating System." Urban Bricks is a mixed-use complex with a high floating population and a concentration of restaurants, located near KTX Gwangmyeong Station and Sinan Line Gwangmyeong Station (scheduled to open in 2024).
The province announced on the 14th that it has chosen Urban Bricks in Gwangmyeong City as a candidate for the exemplary area under the restaurant hygiene rating system, which has been implemented since 2017, and plans to promote various support projects in the future.
The province will invest 100 million won to support 40 out of about 80 businesses within Urban Bricks in Gwangmyeong City through consulting, enabling them to receive hygiene ratings within this year.
After evaluating the results in Urban Bricks, the province will also consider expanding the exemplary area designation to other regions.
