Busan Gijang-gun Conducts Intensive Safety Inspections Around Schools Ahead of New Semester
Busan Gijang-gun is conducting a focused inspection of potential hazards in school zones around elementary schools within the district until the 31st to prevent children's safety accidents in line with the 2023 school opening.
The inspection targets 22 elementary school zones in the Gijang-gun area, focusing on five areas: ▲traffic safety ▲hazardous environments ▲food safety ▲illegal advertisements ▲children's playground facilities.
Key activities in the traffic safety area include ▲crackdown on illegal parking, speeding, and other violations within school zones ▲ensuring safety on children's commuting routes and managing safety of school transport vehicles ▲managing safety on commuting routes around schools.
In the hazardous environment area, the focus is on ▲guidance and inspection of harmful facilities in educational environment protection zones and surrounding areas ▲crackdown on prostitution, obscenity, decadent acts, and inappropriate advertising ▲strict enforcement against violations of youth entry and employment prohibitions.
In the food safety area, activities include ▲guidance and inspection of children's food safety protection zones ▲hygiene and food poisoning prevention inspections of school cafeterias and stores ▲guidance and inspection of school stores and food safety cooking and sales establishments.
For illegal advertisements, the focus is on ▲inspection and maintenance of old advertisements and crackdown on illegal outdoor advertisements ▲focused enforcement around children's protection zones and educational environment protection zones.
Newly added this year, the children's playground facilities area includes ▲inspection of whether the management entities of playground facilities within elementary schools fulfill their safety management obligations ▲inspection of facilities, equipment standards, and safety inspection compliance at kids cafes.
