Change and Fix 'Salmat' Gift... Hanul Headquarters Celebrates 600th Love Home Repair
18 Years of Social Contribution Projects for Housing Environment Improvement
From This Year, Also Enhancing Housing Efficiency for Energy-Poor Households
With each stitch and every hand's dedication, the 600th house has already been completed.
On the 13th, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head: Park Beom-su) announced the completion of the 600th "Love House Repair."
The Love House Repair project is Hanul Headquarters' representative social contribution initiative aimed at improving the living environment for neighbors in Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, who face significant difficulties in housing conditions. It enhances energy efficiency through insulation, sash and window replacement, and improves wallpaper, flooring, and bathrooms.
Since local residents can directly feel the benefits, it is regarded as a resident-experience-oriented project. Since breaking ground in 2005, it has been steadily implemented every year for 18 years without fail. The total support amount has reached 3.9 billion KRW. This time, the 600th touch of "love" has been delivered.
The elderly resident who benefited from the 600th house repair said, "The windows were so old that rain would pour inside, and it was hard to get through winter because of the cold wind, but now that they have been replaced with the latest windows and the kitchen has been cleaned up, I have regained the joy of living," expressing gratitude to Hanul Headquarters.
Head Park Beom-su said, "Starting this year, we will actively support not only housing environment improvements but also energy diagnostics to enhance the energy efficiency of homes."
