Attends ‘Gangseo-gu Sports Development Committee Regular General Meeting’... Discusses Business Directions for Enhancing Residents’ Health
Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended the ‘Seoul Gangseo-gu Sports Association President Inauguration and Retirement Ceremony’ held on the afternoon of the 10th at the Gomdallae Cultural Welfare Center Auditorium.
About 200 people attended the inauguration ceremony, including Mayor Kim Tae-woo, the 2nd and 3rd presidents of the Gangseo-gu Sports Association, and heads of sports organizations under the association.
The event proceeded in the following order: opening declaration, progress report, transfer of presidency, presentation of approval plaques, inauguration speech by the new president, encouragement speech by Mayor Kim Tae-woo, congratulatory speeches by guests, and closing.
The newly inaugurated 3rd president, Lee Myung-jae, will lead the Gangseo-gu Sports Association for the next five years. In his inauguration speech, President Lee expressed his ambition to “make Gangseo-gu Sports Association the best in the nation.”
Mayor Kim Tae-woo said, “When the passion for sports among club members of each discipline and the inherent purity of sports are preserved, the Gangseo-gu Sports Association will prosper even more,” adding, “I hope the Gangseo-gu Sports Association will develop further under the leadership of the new president.”
He also stated, “We have many plans to promote sports development and activate community sports in Gangseo-gu,” and “I will do my best to build Gangseo-gu into a leading sports city ahead of any other district in Seoul.”

Mayor Kim then attended the ‘Gangseo-gu Sports Development Committee Regular General Meeting’ held in the district office’s main conference room, where they discussed the 2023 business promotion directions for improving residents’ health and plans for the development of sports in Gangseo-gu.
