Kookmin Bank Recommends Son Byunghwan, Former NongHyup Financial Chairman, as New Outside Director
KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 10th that it has recommended one new outside director and three reappointed outside directors as candidates for outside directors.
The KB Kookmin Bank Outside Director Candidate Recommendation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Recommendation Committee) selected former NH Nonghyup Financial Group Chairman Son Byung-hwan as the final candidate for the new outside director.
The term of the new outside director is two years.
Former Chairman Son is currently serving as a non-standing research fellow at the Korea Institute of Finance. He is an expert in finance, management, and economics, having served as head of the Future Management Research Institute at Nonghyup Central Association, head of the Business Strategy Division and Management Planning Division at NH Nonghyup Financial Group, president of NH Nonghyup Bank, and chairman of NH Nonghyup Financial Group.
In addition, outside directors Ahn Kang-hyun, Yoo Yong-geun, and Seo Tae-jong were recommended as candidates for reappointment with a one-year term.
The four recommended candidates are scheduled to be officially appointed as outside directors of KB Kookmin Bank after approval at the regular shareholders' meeting to be held on the 23rd.
