Busan Office of Education Collaborates with Local Organizations to Create Safe School Routes
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and local leaders in Busan have joined hands to create safe school routes.
On the 9th, the Busan Office of Education held the ‘First Relay Collaboration Strengthening Proclamation Ceremony for Securing Safe School Routes’ at Seongdong Elementary School in Nam-gu, Busan.
The proclamation ceremony was attended by Superintendent Ha Yun-su, Nam-gu Mayor Oh Eun-taek, Traffic Division Chief Jeong Byeong-o of the Southern Police Station, Director Park Gwi-ja of the Southern Education Support Office, and related officials.
This relay aims to raise awareness among local leaders in Busan, including basic local governments and police stations closely related to school route safety measures, to improve school routes.
On this day, the Busan Office of Education held the first proclamation ceremony with Nam-gu Office and the Southern Police Station, and plans to continue the collaborative relay with leaders of institutions located in schools with poor school route conditions.
Before the proclamation ceremony, Superintendent Ha Yun-su and the leaders conducted a campaign to create safe school routes on the school route of Seongdong Elementary School, providing guidance to drivers and students on the ‘Enforcement of the Revised Road Traffic Act,’ ‘Compliance with vehicle speed limits in school zones,’ and ‘Prohibition of illegal parking and stopping.’
After the campaign, Superintendent Ha and the leaders thoroughly inspected the morning school route site and agreed to actively cooperate in solving school route safety issues for Seongdong Elementary School and all schools in Nam-gu.
