'Jeonnam's Only' Air Show Meets in Boseong
Celebratory Flight for the Opening of Boseong World Tea Expo
The Boseong World Tea Expo Organizing Committee announced on the 8th that it has secured the Air Force special flight team 'Black Eagles Airshow' for the opening ceremony of the '2023 11th Boseong World Tea Expo.'
According to the airshow schedule announced by the Black Eagles, Boseong County is the only location for the Jeonnam performance.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 3 PM on April 29 at Boseong Public Stadium.
The Black Eagles Airshow will last about 20 minutes and is expected to celebrate the opening of the Boseong World Tea Expo with a spectacular flight display.
The Black Eagles, an Air Force special flight team established in 1967, showcase various aerobatic flights at major national events with their high-level teamwork and flying skills.
Recently, they participated in the '2023 Australia Avalon International Airshow' and received the overall grand prize, gaining worldwide recognition for their skills.
Kim Cheol-woo, co-chairman of the Boseong World Tea Expo, said, "We are very pleased that the Republic of Korea's top Air Force flight team, the Black Eagles Airshow, will be part of the Boseong World Tea Expo," adding, "We will prepare carefully to prevent any damage to livestock farms caused by noise."
Meanwhile, the Boseong World Tea Expo will be held for nine days from April 29 to May 7 at the Korea Tea Culture Park, featuring various festivals and side events such as the Boseong Dahyang Grand Festival, Seopyeonje Boseong Sound Festival, Boseong Citizens' Day, Illimsan Azalea Festival, Beolgyo Mudflat Leisure Boat Competition, nationwide sports competitions, and a fireworks festival.
