Visited Command Headquarters to Assess Damage Scale and Encourage Relevant Officials
The Construction and Firefighting Committee of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council visited the wildfire site in Hapcheon County on the 9th to inspect the firefighting situation and assess the extent of the damage.
On that day, immediately after the adjournment of the 1st plenary session of the 402nd extraordinary meeting, the committee members visited the Wildfire Integrated Command Center set up in Hapcheon-eup to receive a report on the firefighting efforts, encourage the related officials, and console the local residents.

According to Gyeongnam Province and others, the firefighting efforts involved 33 helicopters and about 1,500 personnel, with 163 hectares (equivalent to 230 soccer fields) burned, and about 210 local residents evacuated.
