Yeungjin College Excelling in Education for International Students... Maintaining Internationalization Competency Certification for 6 Consecutive Years
Yeungjin College has been reselected for the ‘International Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS)’ awarded by the Ministry of Education to universities excelling in foreign student education.
As the only college in the Daegu area to be reselected, Yeungjin College will gain further momentum in attracting foreign students and internationalizing university education.
Yeungjin College recently received degree program certification under the IEQAS from the Ministry of Education, maintaining its IEQAS accreditation for six consecutive years since its initial selection in 2018.
With this certification, Yeungjin College will benefit from simplified visa issuance procedures for foreign students and support in international exchange-related education policies and projects from this year until February 2026.
Universities certified under the International Education Quality Assurance System are evaluated on their international education strategies, international exchange activities, international environment and support infrastructure, and efforts in educating and supporting foreign students, and certification is granted when standards are met.

View original imageYeungjin College has attracted around 400 foreign students as of the first semester of the 2023 academic year through the establishment and solid operation of various international exchange cooperation programs aimed at recruiting foreign students.
By country, China accounts for the majority with about 250 students, followed by Japan with 40, Mongolia with 11, and Vietnam with 7.
Additionally, students from various countries including Central Asia such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Europe’s T?rkiye, and Southeast Asia including Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka are currently enrolled.
Yeungjin College operates substantial programs to help foreign students settle stably in Korean life and focus on their studies.
