Organizational Restructuring of Junggiyeon to Strengthen Policy Research Functions for SMEs and Ventures

On the 6th, the Small and Medium Venture Business Research Institute announced that it has carried out an organizational restructuring to comply with the government's public institution innovation guidelines, including organizational efficiency, and to strengthen the functions of small and medium venture policy research.

The Institute is promoting organizational operation efficiency by converting unit organizations into major departments. The previous structure of 1 Deputy Director, 2 Headquarters, 7 Offices, and 1 Center has been reorganized into 1 Deputy Director, 1 Headquarters, 6 Offices, 1 Center, and 1 Division.

The research departments have enhanced the Policy Consulting Center's tasks, including expanding policy research planning functions and timely utilization of statistical data for rapid response to current issues.

The Research Planning and Coordination Office focuses on the ‘research planning’ function, such as setting the institution's research goals and directions and discovering policy research projects, based on analysis of the internal and external economic policy environment.

The Policy Consulting Center plans and oversees urgent and ad hoc research and symposiums to lead future-oriented policy strategies and timely respond to sudden issues and pressing matters.

The business departments improved organic work linkage between individual business departments and management efficiency of business functions by integrating subordinate organizations at the team level. For the purpose of restoring the institution's unique research functions and minimizing consignment projects, the ‘Business Headquarters’ has been reorganized into the ‘Policy Information Evaluation Business Division.’ The number of teams has been reduced from 7 to 4.
