View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced on the 27th that they have applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on suspicion of setting fire near a bicycle path.
Mr. A is suspected of repeatedly setting fire to trees along the Seongnaecheon bicycle path in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and another bicycle path near Jamsil Hangang Park in Sincheon-dong, about 1.5 km away, around 11 p.m. on the 24th.
It has been confirmed that no one was injured in the arson. However, an area of 106㎡, including flower beds, was burned.
The police are investigating based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and have identified the suspect.
