Korea BASF Appoints Jun Song as New President
BASF Korea announced on the 27th that Song Jun, President of the Specialty Business Division, will assume the position of CEO effective March 1.
Mr. Song, a Korean-German, joined BASF Ludwigshafen headquarters as a researcher in 2006 and has worked for BASF in Germany, Brazil, and Korea for over 17 years, holding various positions.
In Europe, he held roles in research, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), marketing, and served as secretary to the President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In Brazil, he was responsible for the petrochemical business in the South American region. Since 2020, he has served as President of BASF Korea’s Specialty Business Division, supporting business growth.

CEO Song stated, "BASF Korea will continue to expand its sustainable and innovative product portfolio to support domestic customers," adding, "We will actively contribute to Korea’s climate neutrality goals through close cooperation with domestic customers and partners."
