LG Electronics Partners with Ulsan City to Expand Personal Mobility Parking Solutions
Utilization of LG Electronics' In-house Independent Company App
LG Electronics has partnered with Ulsan Metropolitan City to establish a proper parking culture for personal mobility (PM) devices such as electric kickboards and to revitalize local commercial districts.
On the 26th, LG Electronics announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ulsan City to introduce personal mobility stations. Both parties agreed to mutually cooperate on the installation of PM stations going forward. PM stations are parking lots where shared personal mobility devices such as electric kickboards and electric bicycles can be wirelessly charged. They can be accessed through the application (app) "Pluspot," launched by CurrentDot, an in-house independent company (CIC) of LG Electronics.

It aims to provide convenience for riders as well as ease of device management for operators. It can also positively impact urban aesthetics and nearby commercial areas, making it an example of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
CurrentDot launched the Pluspot app in October last year. Starting with 20 locations in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, the service expanded its PM station installations nearly fivefold within three months, extending the service area throughout the city. Beginning with the Ulsan City project, the plan is to continuously add more service regions in the future.
