[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-won Choi] Professor Jae-gu Kim of Myongji University College of Business Administration is inaugurated as the 68th president of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration. His term will last for one year starting from March.
Myongji University announced on the 21st that Professor Kim will be inaugurated as the new president at the regular general meeting of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration to be held on the 22nd. The Korean Academic Society of Business Administration, founded in 1957, is the first academic society in the field of business administration in Korea.

Professor Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in business administration from the same university's graduate school. He has served as a research fellow at the Korea Labor Institute, a visiting research fellow at Stanford University in the United States, president of the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, president of the Korea Productivity Society, and president of the Korean Society for Human Resource Management and Organization. He also served as a member of the Regional Balanced Development Special Committee of the 20th Presidential Transition Committee. Currently, he is the chairman of the Local Era Advisory Committee of the Korea Association of Governors, a special committee member supporting the bid for the 2030 Busan Expo, and chairman of the Busan Global New Industry Innovation Committee.
