KT to Showcase 'Digico' and Reveal DX Technologies at MWC
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] KT will participate in the world's largest mobile telecommunications exhibition, Mobile World Congress (MWC). At MWC 2023, KT will showcase the services of DigiCo (digital platform company) KT, leading innovation in other industries through its digital transformation (DX) technology and achievements.
KT announced on the 19th that it will open an exhibition booth at MWC 2023 held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 27 to March 2 (local time).
KT set the theme of this exhibition as “DX Partner DigiCo KT Pioneering the Digital Era.” The exhibition booth design is inspired by the “pioneer ship” of Spain’s Age of Discovery, the host country, and the “whale,” a decisive solution element from the drama
KT will set up its booth in the “Industry City,” a shared space by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA). The KT booth will be composed of three themes: ▲DX Platform ▲DX Area Expansion ▲DX Technology Leadership.
First, the DX Platform zone will introduce the AI research portal “Genie Labs,” AI semiconductor manufacturing technology by “Rebellion,” and AI semiconductor design technology by “Moreh.” Additionally, visitors can experience logistics center efficiency solutions and platforms, as well as autonomous driving technologies that can lead the mobility sector.
The DX Area Expansion zone is a space to experience services expanding into various industrial fields such as media and finance in collaboration with group companies, introducing DigiCo services like finance (BC Card) and media (KT Studio Genie). There will also be an experience space for the B2B metaverse platform “Meta Lounge” themed on virtual reality and the personal metaverse service “Geniverse.”
The DX Technology Leadership zone will showcase the “Robot Makers” robot platform providing integrated services for heterogeneous robots and the actual “delivery robot” capable of heating and cooling. A “disinfection robot” will also operate to maintain exhibition hygiene.
As part of GSMA projects, mobile edge computing (MEC) technology jointly developed with global telecom companies can also be seen in the DX Technology Leadership zone. Technologies prepared to enhance 5G services, such as 5G uplink and downlink frequency aggregation technology and integrated antennas for 5G and LTE, will also be exhibited.
Meanwhile, KT is preparing a program for visitors to participate in promoting its representative ESG (environment, social, governance) project, digital citizenship activities, globally. Visitors who check the definition, core values, and aspirations of digital citizenship at each booth during the exhibition tour will receive a small gift.
