Busan City and Pan-Citizen Hosting Committee Hold Donation Ceremony to Support the 2030 Busan World Expo Bid
Busan Company Sammi Construction Donates 100 Million Won for Real-Life Response Recruitment Activities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City and the 2030 Busan World Expo Citizens' Committee will hold a donation ceremony for Sammi Construction's sponsorship of the 2030 Busan World Expo bid at 10:30 a.m. on the 16th in the protocol room of City Hall.
The ceremony will be attended by Park Hyung-jun, Mayor of Busan, Park Won-yang, Chairman of Sammi Construction, and Park Eun-ha, Executive Chairperson of the Citizens' Committee.
This donation ceremony comes ahead of the onsite inspection by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in April and the host city selection vote in November. Sammi Construction, a local Busan company, has joined the relay donation to show support and encouragement for the successful bid of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Currently, many organizations and companies are actively supporting the successful bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo on a nationwide level, sending enthusiastic support and encouragement.
In particular, Busan-based companies supporting the 2030 Busan World Expo bid (Busan Bid Backers) are providing both material and moral support more than anyone else. In January, 14 Busan companies donated a total of 2.4 billion KRW, continuing the relay donations to raise funds for the bid activities.
All of Sammi Construction's donation will be delivered to the Citizens' Committee. The committee plans to use these funds as resources for a full-scale response to the BIE onsite inspection in April, as well as for overseas negotiations, public and citizen promotions, and various projects to unite hopes for the successful bid of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
