The Teachers' Mutual Aid Association Donates 100 Million KRW for Earthquake Relief in Turkey and Syria
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Korea Teachers' Credit Union announced on the 15th that it donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to aid in recovery and relief efforts for victims of the massive earthquake in Turkey (T?rkiye) and Syria.
According to the Credit Union, they decided to provide emergency relief funds to participate in the international community's humanitarian support efforts for the large-scale loss of life and property caused by the recent strong earthquake. The funds will be used to deliver emergency relief supplies such as heating equipment and food to the affected areas, support reconstruction efforts, and provide medical and health assistance to the displaced victims.
The Credit Union also donated 100 million won for wildfire damage recovery in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do regions last year, and 200 million won to vulnerable groups during the summer heat season. Additionally, it actively fulfills its social responsibilities by sponsoring donations to help underprivileged neighbors every year at the end of the year.
