LG Electronics Provides Home Appliance Service Training in Cambodia to Support Youth Independence
LG-KOICA Hope Vocational Training School Service Special Lecture
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics announced on the 12th that it provided technical education to support the self-reliance of outstanding talents in Cambodia. This activity realizes the company's ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) vision of 'Better Life for All.'
From the 7th for four days, LG Electronics gave special lectures on home appliance service technology to 12 teachers at the LG-KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Hope Vocational Training School in the Sen Sok area of Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital. They transferred LG's core home appliance technologies and product-specific service know-how. The purpose was to ensure that the students attending the school receive high-quality lessons.
They taught core air conditioner technologies, installation and practice, major service cases, and problem-solving know-how. This considered that Cambodia is a subtropical region with an average annual temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, leading to high demand for air conditioner products.

LG operates schools in Cambodia, Ethiopia, and other countries in partnership with KOICA. In Ethiopia, more than 400 graduates have been produced up to last year.
LG Electronics is engaged in industry-academia cooperation linked to employment with local industries. They help graduates settle into society. Some outstanding students from the Ethiopian school are given opportunities to work at nearby LG Electronics Dubai Service Corporation and others.
This year, LG Electronics is considering special lectures by service masters from its Singapore corporation. They plan to operate additional schools in countries other than Cambodia and Ethiopia.
