‘Volunteer DAY’ to Revitalize Volunteer Activities Weakened by COVID-19
Volunteers and Yeongdeungpo District Office Executives Participate in Volunteer Activities Every Saturday
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 11th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, participated in volunteer activities cleaning the alleys and rainwater drains in Dangsan 1-dong together with volunteers following the proclamation ceremony of ‘Volunteer DAY’.
‘Volunteer DAY’ is a day when volunteers and Yeongdeungpo District Office executives carry out volunteer activities every Saturday to revitalize volunteer work that has been weakened due to COVID-19.
The proclamation ceremony was held with about 200 participants including volunteers and district office executives. After the ceremony, volunteers cleaned about 80 alleys and rainwater drains in Dangsan 1-dong. Various volunteer activities such as environmental cleanup, disaster preparedness, and sharing will continue every month.
