Online Citizen Voting on Website Survey Corner from 10th to 20th
Selection Based on Combined Citizen Vote Results and Active Administration Committee Evaluation Scores
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Busan Metropolitan City is conducting an 'online citizen vote' from the 10th to the 20th for the selection of 'Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration in the Second Half of 2022.'
To foster and spread a culture of proactive work, the city selects public officials who have contributed to the development of city administration through creative and professional proactive work every half year and grants personnel benefits such as special promotions and performance bonuses.
Proactive administration is a key driving force in city management that improves citizens' quality of life. In particular, Mayor Park Hyung-jun regards proactive administration as the most important factor in changing citizens' daily lives and is focusing on cultivating a culture of proactive administration within the public service.
The 'online citizen vote' held from the 10th reflects voting results in selecting outstanding public officials for proactive administration since 2021, and it is meaningful in selecting and spreading cases of proactive administration that citizens directly empathize with and experience.
Since 2021, a total of about 18,000 citizens have participated in the online citizen vote.
Any Busan citizen can participate in the 'online citizen vote' through the survey section on the city’s official website, selecting 10 cases out of 20 proactive administration cases that have passed internal screening.

Going forward, the city plans to finalize the selection of outstanding public officials for proactive administration in early March by combining the online citizen vote results with the evaluation scores from the Proactive Administration Committee.
