Why Did Gangbuk-gu Open Recruitment for Grade 5 'Redevelopment and Reconstruction Support Team Leader'?

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced the public recruitment of the ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction Support Team Leader,’ designated as an open position.
The ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction Support Team Leader’ to be hired this time is at the Grade 5 (Manager) level.
If the applicant is a career public official, they will be appointed as a Local Facility Officer; if not a public official or if appointment through transfer, promotion, or job change is not possible, they will be appointed as a fixed-term Local Facility Officer.
The main duties of the ‘Redevelopment and Reconstruction Support Team Leader’ include ▲ analyzing the status of all maintenance zones in Gangbuk-gu and proposing customized project plans ▲ establishing directions for residential environment improvement linked to the 2040 Gangbuk-gu Urban Development Plan ▲ mediating and resolving civil complaints and conflicts related to redevelopment and reconstruction ▲ operating resident support systems such as advisory groups and consulting ▲ discovering new housing maintenance project sites and managing public contests ▲ operating the redevelopment and reconstruction counseling center, among others.
The appointment period is two years from the date of appointment but may be extended based on work performance.
Applicants must be adults aged 20 or older who are not disqualified under Article 31 of the Local Public Officials Act and Article 65 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, and who have not been suspended from eligibility. For males, they must have completed military service, be exempt, or be able to be discharged within one month as of the interview date (February 22, 2023).
Additionally, applicants must meet at least one of the qualifications related to academic background, certification standards, or career requirements in the expected job field.
Those wishing to apply should prepare the required documents and either visit the Gangbuk-gu Administrative Support Division or send the documents by registered mail between February 13 and 17.
