Lunit Partners with Agfa Healthcare to Supply Medical AI Solutions in UAE
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit announced on the 9th that it has supplied an AI imaging analysis solution for breast cancer diagnosis to the Dubai Health Authority (DAHC) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in collaboration with Agfa Healthcare, a multinational imaging company headquartered in Belgium.
Agfa Healthcare is an imaging specialist company that has expanded its business area into medical imaging.
Since 2021, Lunit has maintained collaboration by forming a strategic partnership with Agfa Healthcare and developing AI imaging analysis package solutions to be embedded in Agfa Healthcare products. The two companies have supplied the integrated imaging platform 'Agfa Healthcare Enterprise Imaging,' based on the mammography AI imaging analysis solution 'Lunit Insight MMG,' to the Dubai Health Authority (DAHC) for the first time.
Lunit and Agfa Healthcare plan to collaborate further to enter neighboring Middle Eastern countries following this product supply in the UAE.
Anjum Ahmed, Head of AI Innovation and Global Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Agfa Healthcare, said, "The introduction of the AI solution at the Dubai Health Authority is expected to enhance data-driven diagnostic expertise for radiologists and provide patients with personalized treatment based on accurate diagnosis."
