Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Test Fees for TOEIC and Other Qualification Exams
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 8th that it will support qualification exam fees to help job-seeking youth with their employment activities.
Buk-gu plans to invest 80 million KRW in project funds to support exam fees for 1,000 people.
The support target is youth aged 19 to 39 who reside in Buk-gu and are preparing for employment.
The qualification exams eligible for exam fee support include five language tests: TOEIC, TOEIC Speaking, OPIC, TEPS, and G-TELP, as well as the Korean History Proficiency Test, and support is available only for exams taken after the 6th of this month.
In particular, from March this year, the support will be expanded to cover 544 types of national technical qualification exams.
The support amount is the actual amount paid by the individual for taking the exam, and support is provided up to twice per person annually within a limit of 200,000 KRW.
Youth who wish to apply for support can submit the application documents online through the Buk-gu Youth Center website after taking the exam.
