Flames Erupt from Truck Running in Front of Changwon Tunnel
A fire broke out in the cargo bed of a truck running at the entrance of Changwon Tunnel, Gyeongnam, and firefighters are extinguishing it.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 7th at around 3:53 PM, a vehicle fire occurred at the entrance of Changwon Tunnel in Bulmosan-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
According to Changwon Fire Headquarters on the 8th, flames suddenly erupted from the cargo bed of a 1-ton demolition company truck traveling from Changwon toward Busan that day.
The fire burned the truck's cargo bed and the waste wood loaded on it, causing property damage estimated at around 1 million won by the fire department, and was extinguished by firefighters who arrived on the scene in about 10 minutes.
At the scene, eight pieces of equipment including fire trucks and ambulances and 24 firefighters were deployed, and there were no casualties.

The police and fire authorities suspect the fire was caused by a cigarette butt and plan to investigate the exact cause.
