Ministry of Science and ICT Issues First Certification for 28GHz Band I-eum 5G Device
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 7th that it has newly issued radio equipment certification (radio certification) for wireless modules and modems to be used in 28GHz band seamless 5G (5G specialized network).
With the issuance of radio certification for 28GHz band seamless 5G terminals, a foundation has been established for the expansion of services utilizing the 28GHz band, such as cloud-based robot and vehicle control, precision medical care, immersive amusement rides, and real-time large-capacity video transmission and analysis.

With the radio certification of three 28GHz band seamless 5G terminals (modules, modems), the total number of products certified for seamless 5G-related radio certification has increased to 35.
