Support for the Revitalization of the Hometown Love Donation Program by Both Local Governments
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] On the 7th, Kim San, the governor of Muan County, and Lim Taek, the mayor of Dong-gu, Gwangju, mutually donated hometown love donation funds to each other's regions to promote the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System and to strengthen institutional activation and win-win cooperation.
On this day, Governor Kim San visited the NH Nonghyup Bank in Muan County with Mayor Lim Taek, donated hometown love donation funds to each local government, and supported the activation of the Hometown Love Donation System.

The mutual donation between Governor Kim San, who hopes to improve the welfare of Muan County expatriates who moved to Gwangju, and Mayor Lim Taek, whose hometown is Muan, has raised expectations for exchanges and cooperation between local governments in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
Governor Kim San said, “The Hometown Love Donation System will be a great force in improving residents' welfare and revitalizing the local economy,” adding, “I hope this mutual donation will serve as an opportunity for many people, including Muan residents and Gwangju citizens, to actively participate in the Hometown Love Donation System.”
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate anywhere except their registered address through the Hometown Love e-um website. Donors can receive tax deductions (full amount up to 100,000 KRW) and return gifts (30% of the donation amount).
The return gifts for the Muan County Hometown Love Donation Fund consist of Muan Love Gift Certificates, agricultural product packages, Korean beef, pork, rice, seaweed, onion beverages, onion juice, cabbage juice, sweet potatoes, and garlic.
