Amor Fati Parody Encourages Participation in Eunpyeong Love Donation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that singer Kim Yeon-ja, the promotional ambassador of Eunpyeong-gu, held the ‘Eunpyeong Hometown Love Donation Promotion Campaign’ on the 7th.
Kim Yeon-ja, known as the ‘Queen of Enka’ in Japan during the 1980s and 1990s and an original Hallyu star, has seen her song Amor Fati gain renewed popularity domestically since 2016, receiving great love from the younger generation as well. Since September 2021, she has been actively working as a promotional ambassador for Eunpyeong-gu.
Through the promotion campaign, Kim Yeon-ja promoted by parodying her hit song Amor Fati, saying, “The Hometown Love Donation allows you to donate to save your hometown and receive thank-you gifts. Join Eunpyeong, donation is essential! Thank-you gifts are optional!”
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, expressed, “We are grateful that Kim Yeon-ja actively participated in promoting the Hometown Love Donation to revitalize Eunpyeong,” and added, “We hope this promotion will energize many expatriates and citizens to join the donation.”
