Lotte Chilsung Beverage Reports Operating Profit of 222.9 Billion KRW Last Year, Up 22.3% YoY (Update)
Lotte Chilsung Beverage recorded strong performance last year thanks to the expansion of its zero-calorie carbonated beverage portfolio and the success of new alcoholic products such as "Cheoeumcheoreom Saero".
Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 6th that its consolidated operating profit for last year was tentatively estimated at 222.9 billion KRW, a 22.3% increase compared to the same period the previous year. During the same period, sales rose 13.4% to 2.8417 trillion KRW. Net profit decreased by 4.4% to 131.1 billion KRW.
Operating profit for the fourth quarter was 24.4 billion KRW, up 28.7% year-on-year. Sales and net profit recorded 669 billion KRW and 5.8 billion KRW, respectively.

A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Sales in the beverage sector increased thanks to the popularity of zero-calorie products driven by the spread of the healthy pleasure trend and active portfolio expansion," adding, "In the alcoholic beverage sector, sales of all categories increased, with notable growth in soju and cheongju sales due to the popularity of new products such as 'Cheoeumcheoreom Saero' and 'Byeolbit Cheongha'."
