"Enhance Urban Prestige" Gwangju Dong-gu Accelerates Outdoor Advertising Maintenance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City is putting effort into the 'Outdoor Advertising Maintenance Project' to improve the urban landscape.
On the 3rd, Dong-gu announced plans to promote four key policies: ▲Chungjang-ro Signboard Improvement Project ▲Creation of 'Art Signboards' in the Art Street ▲Installation of Electronic Display Stands ▲Illegal Advertising Material 365 Maintenance Team.
After completing the maintenance of Chungjang-ro 3-ga in March, the area around Chungjang-ro 4-ga will be developed into a pleasant street reflecting the unique character and sensibility of Chungjang-ro by the end of this year.
In the Art Street area, where many art supply stores and craft shops are concentrated, local artists and creators will participate in maintaining outdoor signboards and painting graffiti murals, transforming the street into a 'cultural and artistic street where the urban street itself becomes a gallery.'
An 'LED Electronic Display Stand' will be installed at the Daein Intersection, which has a high volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, to be used as a promotional medium for local small business owners.
