Jeonnam Fire Department Initiates 'Special Alert Duty' Ahead of Jeongwol Daeboreum
Forward Deployment of Firefighting Forces... Strengthening Initial Response Posture
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) announced on the 3rd that it will begin special alert duty ahead of Jeongwol Daeboreum until the 6th.
This special alert duty strengthens the initial response posture through on-site response led by fire station chiefs and the forward deployment of firefighting forces.
In the past two years, a total of 19 fires occurred in the Jeonnam area during the Jeongwol Daeboreum period, with property damage estimated at about 110 million won.
They will mobilize 15,129 personnel including firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and 794 pieces of equipment to eliminate fire hazards at event sites and conduct safety management activities in fire-prone areas.
There will be three daily patrols in villages adjacent to forests, wildfire prevention announcements using fire trucks, and fire pump trucks will be stationed at 26 Daljip burning event sites.
