Yeongyang-gun Selected for National Funding in Regional Culture Vitalization Support Project
Secured a Total of 1.08 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has been selected for the 'Regional Culture Vitality Promotion Support Project' and secured a total project budget of 1.08 billion KRW, including 540 million KRW in national funds.
This project is a Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism public contest initiative designed to revitalize regional culture, improve the quality of life for local residents, overcome crises such as aging and population decline, and reduce cultural disparities between regions. It promotes nurturing local cultural talents, discovering and strengthening lifestyle and cultural clubs, among other efforts.

Yeongyang-gun plans to collaborate with the Yeongyang Cultural Center, Yeongyang Festival Tourism Foundation, and local cultural and artistic organizations to discover Yeongyang's cultural potential through fostering traditional culture and to activate programs of local cultural and artistic groups, thereby strengthening the cultural residency rights of its residents.
County Governor O Do-chang stated, "With this project selection, we will greatly contribute to enhancing Yeongyang's cultural vitality and achieve sustainable regional development by promoting various cultural programs."
