National Archives Invites Nominations for '2023 National Records Management Merit' Candidates
Proceeding Separately for the Private Sector and the Public Sector
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The National Archives of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 31st that it will accept nominations for the '2023 National Records Management Merit Awards' from the 1st to the 28th of next month to discover organizations and individuals who have contributed to the development of national records management.
The nominees are individuals, organizations, or institutions who have contributed to the advancement of national records management, and the selection is divided into the private and public sectors.
Any member of the general public can recommend candidates, and application forms can be submitted by mail, in person, electronic document (official letter), or email by the 28th of next month. The award ceremony is planned to be held on June 9, the statutory commemorative day known as 'Records Day,' in accordance with government award guidelines.

Gumanseop, Director of the National Archives at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, “Since the National Records Management Merit Awards have been held for over 20 years since 1999, they have discovered and encouraged contributors to the development of records management and spread the culture of records management.” He added, “We ask for active participation and interest in this nomination process as well.”
