On the 30th, the Korean Film Council announced the appointment of Kwon Byung-gyun as the new Secretary General. He is the former CEO of Cinema Service and Art Service. He has built experience in film investment, production, and distribution through roles such as Production Director at Nobis Entertainment and Production Manager at Shin Cine. Secretary General Kwon stated, "I will continuously review to ensure that the various projects of the Korean Film Council are carried out reflecting the opinions from the film industry field," and added, "I will strive to create a platform where the Korean Film Council and the film industry can share and discuss values, knowledge, and information to form a common understanding." His term begins from today and lasts for one year, with the possibility of renewal on a yearly basis.
