[Weather] Coldest This Winter... Mostly Clear Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, the 24th, is expected to be the coldest day of this winter so far.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -23°C and -6°C, and the daytime highs between -14°C and -4°C, dropping about 10 to 15 degrees compared to the previous day.
Strong winds will make the wind chill even lower, so it is advised to avoid going out as much as possible and to take care of your health.
Most of the country will be clear, but the Chungnam region, Jeolla region, and Jeju Island will be cloudy with snow. Expected snowfall amounts are 5 to 20 cm in western Jeonbuk, Jeonnam (excluding the eastern southern coast), Jeju Island (excluding mountainous areas), and the five western islands; 30 to 50 cm in Jeju mountainous areas and Ulleungdo and Dokdo; 1 to 5 cm in the Chungnam west coast and eastern Jeonbuk and Jeonnam southern coast; and around 1 cm in northern inland Chungnam.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions. Only the Yeongnam region is expected to experience temporarily 'Bad' levels in the early morning.
