The movie '1947 Boston' is meeting audiences during Chuseok.
On the 17th, according to Contents Geo and Lotte Entertainment, '1947 Boston' (directed by Kang Je-gyu) has confirmed its release in September. The film tells the story of national marathon runners who, after liberation, wish to run again and their aspirations and race to participate in the first international marathon competition.
The Boston Marathon, which serves as the backdrop of the story, has been held annually on the third Monday of April since its first race in 1897, boasting the world's greatest history and prestige. The film will depict the journey and anecdotes of the athletes who, overcoming the chaotic situation after liberation, participated in this competition as the first representatives of the Republic of Korea.
