Vice Chairman Jo Hyun-sang Communicates with Global Leaders at Davos
Promotion Activities for Busan Expo at the 'Korea Night' Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Cho Hyun-sang, Vice Chairman of Hyosung Group, attended the World Economic Forum (WEF·Davos Forum) to communicate with global leaders and pledged to focus on attracting the ‘2030 Busan EXPO’.
On the 16th (local time), the 53rd Davos Forum opened in Switzerland for a 4-night, 5-day schedule. Vice Chairman Cho is attending the Davos Forum for the first time in three years since 2020. During the forum, he plans to meet with global leaders to discuss business cooperation and promote activities to attract the Busan EXPO.
At the ‘Korea Night’ event hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 18th, Vice Chairman Cho intends to actively utilize his network as a ‘Young Global Leader (YGL)’ to assist in attracting the Busan EXPO. Having been selected as a YGL at the Davos Forum in 2007, Cho will meet influential figures from various countries who are former YGLs, as well as prominent individuals from the media, cultural sectors, and multinational corporations, appealing to them for support in attracting the Busan EXPO.
Additionally, he plans to discuss business cooperation through meetings with CEOs of global companies. Since the Davos Forum will also address issues such as climate change response and carbon reduction, it will be an opportunity to explore new business opportunities for Hyosung Group, a global company in the materials sector.
