GH, Free Access to 'Suwon Paldal Parking Tower' During Seollal Holiday
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) will open the Suwon Paldal Parking Tower for free for five days from the 20th to the 24th in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
This free opening is a measure to revitalize traditional markets, which have been sluggish due to high inflation, and to provide convenience to customers visiting nine nearby markets, including Motgol Market and Jidong Market, to purchase ritual items.
The Suwon Paldal Parking Tower was built by GH in 2004 with a project cost of 20 billion won to alleviate parking difficulties around traditional markets.
Since 2020, GH has been opening the parking lot for free during holidays. Even on regular days, parking fees are free for up to one hour to reduce the economic burden on residents who visit the parking tower.
