Venture Investment Fund Management Information System Open
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) and the Korea Venture Capital Association (Chairman Ji Seong-bae) announced that they will operate the 'Venture Investment Fund Management Information System' from the 18th to support venture fund managers (GPs) and limited partners (LPs) in systematically sharing fund management information.
The Venture Investment Fund Management Information System is a cloud platform that allows fund managers to provide fund performance and fund execution status information to investors online. Development began in April last year and was completed last month. This venture investment platform, designed for use by multiple managers and investors rather than individual managers or investors' own systems, is the first of its kind in Korea.
The Venture Investment Fund Management Information System offers various functions that enable venture fund managers and investors to conveniently and efficiently exchange information related to fund management. Investors can view the integrated performance of the venture funds they have invested in. Fund managers can link with their internal ERP systems to automatically handle key fund information registration, investment status management, and major reports for each investment progress. The system electronically processes asset management instructions and performance reports between the institutions entrusted with the fund's assets and the fund managers, and investors can monitor these in real time.

Minister Lee Young stated, "With the Venture Investment Fund Management Information System, information related to fund management will be shared easily and transparently, which is expected to enhance trust in venture funds," and added, "We will continue to improve conditions for new investors to enter venture investment, further boosting the dynamism of Korea's venture investment ecosystem."
