[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The first trial of Hong Nampyo, mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, who was indicted on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, has been postponed once again from the 19th to the 26th.
Previously, the Changwon District Court postponed the first trial date for Mayor Hong and two others, originally scheduled for December 22 last year, to the 19th of this month.
According to the Changwon District Court on the 16th, Mayor Hong's first trial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the 26th.
Mayor Hong was indicted without detention on charges of bribing candidates by promising public office during the nationwide simultaneous local elections last June.
