An explosion occurred in a gas pipeline in Lithuania, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.
On the 14th (local time), according to foreign media, Nemunas Viknius, CEO of Amber Grid, the gas pipeline operator, expressed the opinion that the accident was likely caused by a technical defect.
According to local media, a fire broke out around 5 p.m. the previous day due to the gas pipeline explosion in the Panev??ys region in northern Lithuania, leading to the evacuation of about 250 residents from nearby villages, with no casualties reported.
