Kim Ki-hyun: "Party and Public Support Rallying to Me"... A Check on Na Kyung-won
"If the Party Leader Is Poorly Elected, It Will Cause Tremendous Conflict"
On the 14th, Kim Gi-hyeon, a member of the People Power Party, stated that his recent first-place ranking in the party leader opinion poll "is a result that numerically reflects the support from both the party members and the public."
After holding the 'Winning Kim Gi-hyeon Gyeongbuk Departure Ceremony' at the Gumi Complex Sports Center in Gumi City, Gyeongbuk, Kim told reporters, "This trend will strengthen further moving forward."
Regarding doubts raised by former lawmaker Na Kyung-won's camp about the poll results, Kim said, "Politicians must always calmly observe what the hearts of the people and party members are and respect the flow of public sentiment." When asked if he planned to meet with Na's camp, he replied, "I have contacted them several times, but they did not answer my calls."
At the departure ceremony, Kim emphasized, "Why do we elect party leadership? Is it to help them succeed or advance their careers? Is it to create a stepping stone for the next presidential election? Is it to build their political careers?" He added, "We elect them to strongly support President Yoon Seok-yeol's success." He continued, "I believe we must never repeat the past when the party leader was wrongly elected, causing significant conflicts with the president while claiming to act for the president's benefit."
