Ha Joo-seok was caught for drunk driving during a crackdown at around 5:15 a.m. on November 19 last year in a location in Dong-gu, Daejeon. At that time, his blood alcohol concentration was 0.078%, which is the level for license suspension. After recognizing the drunk driving incident, the Hanwha team reported it to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO). Accordingly, Ha Joo-seok was disciplined with a 70-game suspension on November 30 last year.
