Hanwha Systems Opens 'UAE Branch' as Key Export Hub in the Middle East
"Exploring Export Opportunities Through Collaboration with Promising Partners"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Hanwha Systems announced on the 13th that it has opened an overseas branch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Since it exported the Cheongung-II multi-function radar (Multi Function Radar), a medium-range surface-to-air guided missile system, to the UAE in January last year for approximately 1.3 trillion KRW, the company established a local branch to ensure successful business execution in the Middle Eastern market.
At the opening ceremony of Hanwha Systems Abu Dhabi branch held on the 12th, key figures from the Tawazun Economic Council under the UAE Ministry of Defense and the UAE Armed Forces' AFAD attended. Personnel from the Republic of Korea Air Force dispatched unit, the Korean Embassy in the UAE, and Hanwha Systems CEO Eo Seongcheol were also present.
