Namhae-gun, Prioritizing Price Stability for Seollal Holiday
Focused Management on 16 Key Lunar New Year Seasonal Products in Shopping Baskets
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has designated the period until the 27th as a 'Special Price Stabilization Period' to promote consumption and revitalize the local economy ahead of the Seollal holiday.
During this price stabilization period, price trends for key Seollal seasonal items will be monitored, along with on-site inspections to verify the compliance of origin labeling and efforts to stabilize prices.
In addition, a comprehensive price countermeasure situation room led by the vice county governor will be established and operated to focus on inspecting unfair trade practices in five sectors: local economy, fisheries, food hygiene, agriculture and livestock, and distribution.
Especially, a joint price stabilization inspection team will be formed to focus on managing 16 key Seollal seasonal items at Namhae Traditional Market and surrounding stores.
Furthermore, to revitalize the local economy during the Seollal holiday, events such as a traditional market shopping event for Seollal, special sales of Hwajeon gift certificates, and Onnuri gift certificate refund events will be held to promote the use of traditional markets. To promote the sales of local specialty products produced by small business owners in the area, a special Seollal exhibition will also be held on 'Namhae Mall.'
