Changwon Special City announced that from the 5th to the 8th of this month, 10 outstanding startups from Changwon participated in CES 2023 held in Las Vegas, USA, achieving record-breaking results including 9 MOUs signed and local contracts worth $4.17 million.
CES 2023 is the largest global event held since the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 3,100 companies from around the world participated, showcasing new digital world technologies such as future mobility, digital healthcare, Web 3.0 and metaverse, and smart homes. More than 100,000 visitors attended, creating a heated atmosphere on site.
Among them, companies from Changwon Special City participated in the Eureka Park Integrated Korea Pavilion, presenting future new technologies that attracted the attention of global visitors and buyers.
First, NeoHealthTechnology, which showcased UAM (Urban Air Mobility) avionics systems, signed an MOU worth $1 million on site with Jordan’s Exeed Electronics.
ICU Vision Care, which presented VR medical devices for pediatric strabismus correction for those under 20 years old, signed two MOUs: one worth $500,000 with US software specialist DST, and another worth $150,000 related to software license supply with Italian medical device export company KRYS.
Luxwagon, which introduced electric wheelboards compatible with various mobile carts, signed a total of 5 MOUs worth $3.23 million with major local distribution companies in the US and Canada as well as large smart farm chain companies.
GSF System, which showcased the hydroponic Mind Farm using proprietary technology, received the hottest interest from buyers worldwide including the US, France, and Japan. Consultations worth $100,000 took place with US company Takachiho, and investment discussions were held with Honda Holdings’ investment firm in Japan. Belgian company PSP showed interest in smart container farms and plans to visit Korea soon to continue detailed discussions.
SJ Solution, participating with donut manufacturing food automation equipment technology, signed an MOU worth $40,000 with US food tech company A and agreed to supply donut manufacturing food automation equipment.
Eflow, participating for the second time following last year, showcased hydrogen fuel cell electric bicycles and is currently in $1 million investment consultations with US company DEHCO regarding hydrogen mobility and green hydrogen production facilities, with expectations for greater future achievements.
Edenlux, awarded the Innovation Award this year, participated with an ophthalmology-specialized vision improvement VR device and introduced the product to many visitors at the booth, with many expressing purchase intentions through the website.
Miraclear, participating with a digital medical device for sleep bruxism relief, CEO Byun Jeong-hwan stated that it was a great opportunity to broaden his perspective by seeing and experiencing new technologies from around the world firsthand.
DX Solutions participated with RPA office automation solutions, and CEO Kim Jong-in showed enthusiasm by directly visiting and promoting related industry company booths, putting all efforts into entering the North American market.
Safety Dream participated with an ICT convergence smart vehicle shock absorber product and expressed determination to participate again next year with a B2C product technology rather than a B2G target.
