Ulju-gun to Implement 2023 Beekeeping Support Project … Total Support of 270 Million KRW
6 Projects Including Beekeeping Pollen Feed and Beehive Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, is promoting the 2023 beekeeping support project for local beekeeping farms.
This project was prepared to strengthen the competitiveness of local beekeeping farms and to promote stable beekeeping management. It is being promoted to improve quality by enhancing beekeeping technology and to help improve transparency in production and distribution.
The main support items include six projects: ▲beekeeping pollen feed ▲beehives and feed dissolvers ▲stick-type honey packaging materials ▲beekeeping industry promotion ▲cold storage ▲hornet extermination equipment.
Support for beekeeping pollen feed and beehives and feed dissolvers is available to farms registered with resident registration and beekeeping registration in Ulju-gun, while other projects are available to beekeeping farms registered in Ulju-gun with a resident registration address in Ulsan City.
Applicants wishing to receive support must fill out and submit an application form to the Industry Team at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center by the 18th.
Last year, the county distributed support items jointly in June, but this year, following requests from farms and associations, distribution is scheduled for March.

An Ulju-gun official said, “Regarding the mass disappearance of honeybees that started last year, we expect that distributing necessary items to farms in March, when swarming is needed, will help improve the competitiveness of local beekeeping farms,” adding, “This project will contribute to stable beekeeping and income increase for beekeeping farms.”
