[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 29th, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced that Commissioner Lee In-sil of KIPO held a high-level video conference with Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh, Deputy Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The meeting was arranged to discuss cooperation and development directions in the field of intellectual property between the two sides. Since signing a memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation in 2010, South Korea and the UAE have maintained a close cooperative relationship in the field of intellectual property, including patent examination delegation and the establishment of patent information systems.
