The Gyeonggi-do Temporary Child Protection Center is a child welfare facility that provides protection in a stable environment for children who are abandoned, missing, abused, or from broken families in the province until they return to their original families or enter residential facilities.
The province has been operating temporary child protection centers in two locations, Anyang and Uijeongbu, with a total capacity of 110 children.
However, since the government implemented the 'Immediate Separation System' last year to quickly secure the safety of children suspected of abuse and help their recovery, the demand for temporary protection has increased. In response, the province began soliciting consignment operators from the end of last year and established the third Gyeonggi-do Temporary Child Protection Center.
The Gyeonggi-do Temporary Child Protection Center established in Yongin operates with a capacity of 31 children.
The center will be responsible for ▲ managing child admissions and discharges (3 months, extendable once for up to 3 months) ▲ supporting children's learning ▲ supporting child development ▲ supporting children's health and treatment.

Kim Mi-seong, Director of the Women's and Family Bureau of the province, emphasized, "We will hire professionals to provide customized support according to the characteristics of the protected children, and do our best to heal the physical and emotional wounds of the children and ensure stable protection until they return to their original families or enter residential facilities."
