Im Taek, Mayor of Gwangju Dong-gu, Attends Kakao Mobility Gwangju Customer Center Opening Ceremony
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, attended the opening ceremony of the Kakao Mobility Gwangju Customer Center on the 27th.
The opening ceremony was held with speeches, ribbon cutting, and a meeting in order, attended by Mayor Im, National Assembly member Lee Byung-hoon, Park Jeong-hwan, Director of Gwangju City Economic Startup Office, Lee Soo-yeon, Executive Director of Kakao Mobility, and Park Jun-young, Executive Director of Hyosung ITX.
The Kakao Mobility Gwangju Customer Center is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of Go& Tower in Geumnam-ro, Dong-gu, with a total floor area of 340 pyeong, equipped with a customer consultation room, training room, and rest area.
It plans to hire and operate about 500 local personnel over the next five years.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Im Taek of Dong-gu said, “Through the opening of the Kakao Mobility Gwangju Customer Center, we expect continuous job creation and revitalization of the old downtown area,” adding, “I hope that the Geumnam-ro area will be reborn as a core space for artificial intelligence and advanced platform businesses in connection with the regional base smart city development project promoted by Dong-gu and the Gwangju AI Startup Camp 1 and 2.”
He also said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the executives and employees of Kakao Mobility Co., Ltd., who are doing their best to promote coexistence with the region,” and added, “Our district will spare no administrative support necessary for the operation of the customer center.”
